Tuna rice
















Ingredients
  • Tuna (tin) - 1 small tin.
  • Cooked (leftover) rice - 1 cup
  • Refined oil - 2 table spoon
  • Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon
  • *Garlic chopped - 1 spoon
  • *Green chili - 1 no.
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Fenugreek powder - 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Lemon - few drops
  • salt - as req 
Preparation
  • Slit green chilies
  • Peel and chop garlic finely
Cooking
  • Heat oil over high flame, add mustard seeds,
  • Add powdered chopped garlic, green chili fry them little,
  • Add tomatoes, tuna chunks, cinnamon, chili and fenugreek powder and toss a little (be careful not to mess up the tuna by over stirring)
  • Add rice and toss/mix well in heat.
Notes:
  • *use pickled (in vinegar) chilies and garlic instead of fresh chilies and garlic
  • Tastes better when consumed hot and immediately
  • Handy recipe to do after a long tiring day
  • Can be eaten with/without any curry, even goes okay with tomato ketchup
