Recipe database as the name suggest aims to provide a much wider collection of recipes and basic knowledge on cookery. Mostly targeting novice cooks like bachelors, stay away from home singles and just married couples’ 


The idea has been in mind for quite some time now, after sufficient thought how to go about it, this humble beginning with no wide steps but firm next step approach to evolve.

You can find the first set of recipes, 30+ Indian rice and chicken preparations now.

First few months there shall be postings in sets. We have a vision to make this data base must contain at least 1000 recipes in next few years.

Remember, 

Any recipe is hardly invented; but they are adapted, altered, stolen or if I have to say politically correct they were improvised on most of the cases.

Features

There are tons and tons of Kbytes of recipes, food blogs available online. 

However we would like to stick to the below in differentiating this below data base.

§ No ads and promotions in between or anywhere
This is our promise and I foresee this shall remain forever

§ No glossy pictures in between
We wish to give you simple steps in text; some people like to have step by step picture, sorry we may not able to serve you at this stage. Maximum of 2 photos per recipe only if required.

§ Keeping it simple
The recipe content will be mostly text. Keeping the stories, reviews and boasting regarding the particular dish in a separate post.

§ Assistance
Any rare-familiar cookery terms shall be hyperlinked to a definition page (sooner), which shall be updated as and when. We are glad to provide guidance on occasion and party menu planning.

Please note, we are not committing for authentic and classic versions but somewhere one could start and learn.

Me and Cooking

Landed up at a catering college only to avoid ending up at an engineering college. Three years of intense bunking for practical sessions, yet managed to get offer letter in the campus interview. “Ho, the guy who don’t know to chop onions” – still some of my friends and classmate would identify me this way. The chef I had then during my first quarterly appraisal had choice to kick me out or give me another chance. He was kind enough to choose the latter. 

Then made some amendments in my approach, had great fun learning and slogging in hotel industry until left that job on a good note after 2 years. 

A job is a job - is not an ideal quote if one in a chef career. So eventually life took the cooking profession away from me for better and placed me at a different line still related every way to food, not just cooking but overlooking most part of the food chain.

I enjoy cooking for family, friends, strangers to be befriended. You can drop in to my place for a meal or snack with prior notice. I am hopeful; I won’t disappoint your taste buds.
