l Mutton pepper curry

Ingredients- Mutton - 400 gram
- Cooking oil - 4 table spoon
- Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon
- Clove- 2 no.
- Cinnamon - 1/2" sized piece
- Fennel - 1 teaspoon
- Peppercorns - 10 no.
- Green chili - 2 no.
- Coconut - 1/2
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 table spoon
- Onion - 1 medium sized
- Tomato - 2 medium sized
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Curry leaf - 1 spring
- Coriander leaf - 2 spring
Preparation:
- Grate coconut
- Dry roast (without oil) coconut, pepper corns, fennel and green chilies and grind them
- Chop onion
- Cube tomato
- Clean and cut mutton into even sized cubes
Cooking
- Heat oil in a thick bottom pan or pressure cooker
- Temper spices and curry leaves
- Add onion, turmeric powder and saute
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute
- Add chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt; fry them until off flavor
- Add mutton and turn until it evenly coat with masala and the outer layer coat with oil.
- Add water to cover mutton and cook until almost done (usually 30-35 minutes)
- Open and add ground coconut-pepper masala & tomatoes; cook until the masala is off raw flavour and reduced to a thick gravy.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and remove
