Blanching is allowing tomato to short heat treatment, which will enable us to remove it skin easily
Steps:
- Boil water in a pan
- Remove the steam on top and roughly slit the skin of the tomatoes from top to bottom
- Put it in boiling water for two minutes
- Remove, dip (put) in cold water
- Using a sharp knife, now you can easily peel the skin
An alternative way to remove skin is:
Grilling:
- Roughly slit the skin of the tomatoes from top to bottom
- Pierce it in long handle knife or skewer
- Grill it in direct flame evenly by turning them
- Dip in cold water
- Using a sharp knife, now you can easily peel the skin
